Island Veteran Launches Solo Studio Project ‘Kadushi Moon’ with Debut Blues Rock Single “Through My Eyes”
KRALENDIJK, BONAIRE – July 2026 — Bonaire’s newest sonic export is not a touring troupe, but a deeply personal, one-man studio powerhouse. Operating under the moniker Kadushi Moon, the long-term island resident is proud to announce the end of August release of the project’s highly anticipated debut single, “Through My Eyes.”
Named after Bonaire’s iconic local cactus—the same resilient plant used to distill the island’s signature rum—Kadushi Moon represents two decades of Caribbean life distilled into music. The upcoming track introduces a rich, genre-fluid mix of classic blues, heavy blues rock, and emotional slow rock. It is a sonic journey that bridges the fiery grit of ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin with the soulful, melodic melancholy of Gary Moore and early Fleetwood Mac.
Having lived and created on Bonaire for more than 20 years, the multi-instrumentalist behind Kadushi Moon has spent years absorbing the unique atmosphere of the Dutch Caribbean. “Through My Eyes” serves as a musical lens into that experience, offering listeners an authentic, weathered perspective on life, survival, and passion.
“The kadushi cactus thrives in the harsh, sun-drenched landscape of the island, and it yields something sweet and potent if you know how to harvest it,” says the artist behind the project. “This music is the same. It’s built from decades of playing, living, and looking at the world from this rock in the ocean. ‘Through My Eyes’ is the first glimpse into that studio world.”
Because Kadushi Moon is a pure studio project, every layer of the tracking process has been meticulously crafted to capture a massive, full-band energy. Fans of guitar-driven rock can expect a diverse arrangement where heavy riffs seamlessly trade places with atmospheric, slow-burning melodies.
“Through My Eyes” will be available for streaming and download by end of August 2026.
